Why couple streaks break

Both phones work the plant out from the same facts, and each of you is counted on your own local date, so time zones and travel don't eat a day.
Questions
What happens to our streak if only one of us does it?
It pauses. There is no leaf that day, but the streak does not break and the plant stays green.
Can I buy a streak repair in Duoleaf?

What if we are in different time zones?
Each of you is counted on your own local date, so a late session in one time zone still counts for that day.
Do we lose our best streak?
